Grappling
The grappling we teach is based on the following martial arts: Aiki-Jujutsu; Hapkido; Japanese Jujitsu; and Judo. 90 % of the grappling we teach is standing with takedowns. 10% is ground work that consists of takedowns, takedown defense, ground escapes, and getting back to the feet. Techniques are taught with little or no resistance at lower ranks in order to thoroughly and safely learn them. Pressure testing for real world effectiveness is done at higher ranks.
Women's Self-Defense Women's Self-Defense class is an aggressive techniques class, designed to train women to defend themselves in an aggressive manor. Whether its striking, or throwing an opponent to the ground, women will benefit greatly from this class. Along with techniques training, situational awareness is also taught.

Striking
The striking we teach is based on the following martial arts: Taekwondo; Muay Thai; Wing Chun; kick boxing; and boxing. Most techniques are taught in a way that they would be effective in a real-world situation. Students with lower belts will learn how to properly execute the techniques. Those with mid-level belts will focus on speed and footwork for efficient striking. The highest-ranked students will focus on the trifecta of hitting: hard; fast; and accurate.
Striking is always to be used as a last resort. If we are able to, we want to subdue an attacker first to prevent injury. Sometimes this is not possible. Law enforcement uses techniques to subdue people every day even when they are not thoroughly trained. Our classes will include sparring. However, for safety reasons, sparring begins at green belt. We want students to have a level of control before actual sparring against each other. Tai Chi Mobility Tai Chi Mobility class is designed to improve the health, from young people to our elderly. As we age, our bodies get weak naturally. This class is designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. Tai Chi Mobily's main goal is to improve the quality of life in everyone, especially our elders.
